Call of Duty releases Season 3 with new features for Warzone 2.0, Modern Warfare 2, and DMZ.

On April 12 at 7:00 PM (CET), the third season of Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 will premiere, which will also affect DMZ. This season, called “the game for anyone,” will offer a great diversity of new and varied content for all game modes. All the details have been explained on the official Call of Duty blog.

Warzone 2.0

The Call of Duty battle royale will incorporate playable novelties that have already been tested in other versions or modes of the game. For example, redeployment drones, which make it easier to change locations quickly, or the plate backpack variant, which decreases the number of units required to complete armor. UAV towers, which show the position of nearby enemies, and decontamination stations, which will be activated during reinforcements, will also be integrated. In addition, there will be advantage packages, portable purchase stations, and Gulag re-entry packages.

The main map of Warzone 2.0, Al Mazrah, will also receive changes with the arrival of season 3. According to the official trailer, the map will be set in 1984, which will mean changes in some locations and a more retro aesthetic. In addition, a new game mode called Massive Resurgence will be added, allowing players to redeploy as long as they have a living partner until the third circle.

Modern Warfare 2

Competitive multiplayer players in Modern Warfare 2 are the most favored, as they will have access to four maps from day one: two for the 6 vs 6 mode (Pelayo’s Lighthouse and Black Gold) and two for Ground War modes (Rohan Oilfields and Sattiq Cave Complex). Another 6 vs 6 map called Alboran Hatchery will be added midway through the season. The Shootout mode will also be added, a two-player team deathmatch in limited scenarios, with four available maps: Blacksite, Exhibit, Shipment, and Alley. Mid-season, there will be a variant of the Shootout mode where players have to collect equipment throughout the scenario.

In addition, players will be able to enjoy a new cooperative mission and the third episode of the incursion mode, which will continue the story of the conflict between Alejandro and Valeria.

DMZ

DMZ players will also have some new features in season 3, such as the trading system, which will allow them to exchange their weapons for more powerful or suitable ones for their play style. Two new weapons will also be added to the arsenal: the FJX Imperium precision rifle, known as the Intervention, and the Cronen Squall semi-automatic rifle. Both weapons will be available for free in the battle pass.

In addition, a new faction will be introduced to join the existing Legión, White Lotus, Black Mous, and Crown factions. These factions will fight for control of strategic areas within Al Mazrah and Isla Ashika, as well as for the secrets within Building 21.

Season 3 will also bring the release of Warzone’s Ranked mode, a competitive mode that will test the skills and strategy of Warzone 2.0 players. This mode will have a ranking system and exclusive rewards for the best players.

It will also offer a new battle pass with 100 levels of rewards, including operator skins, weapon blueprints, CoD points, and more. The battle pass will cost 1100 CoD points, but players who have completed the previous season’s battle pass will be able to acquire it for free.

The season 3 of Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 will be released on April 12th at 7:00 pm (CET). The season update will be available to download on April 10th at 7:00 pm (CET), with update notes to be published between the download and release.
