Microsoft has announced that over the next two weeks, the Game Pass catalog will expand with seven new games, including Need for Speed Unbound, which arrives via EA Play. Also notable are the additions of F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch and The Bookwalker. On the other hand, we have titles like Road 96 and DJMax Respect V departing from the service.
Leading the list of Game Pass additions is Need for Speed Unbound, the latest installment in the veteran racing game franchise, which, judging by the reviews, seems to have fallen short of expectations. Despite the lukewarm reception, Electronic Arts and developer Criterion Games have continued to support the title with updates, and on June 22, it will have a new opportunity with its debut on the EA Play catalog, a service included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
For those who prefer a new indie release, they can look forward to The Bookwalker on June 22, a narrative adventure starring Etienne Quist, a writer with the ability to enter books and travel between reality and fiction. After being convicted of a crime, Quist seeks to regain his status and contacts a criminal boss who offers him a deal. In exchange, he must use his ability to steal certain objects from books, embarking on an adventure that takes him through different worlds, each with its own rules and challenges.
The diesel-punk-themed metroidvania game F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch has been available for a while on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Finally, it is coming to Xbox Series via Game Pass on June 27. This title follows the story of Rayton, a rabbit ex-soldier who returns to action after his friend is arrested by the Robotic Legion. Rayton fights armed with a huge metal fist that hides three weapons. In addition to combat, the game features exploration and platforming elements.
