Sony Interactive Entertainment announced today a new version of its PlayStation 5 console, which will be available in stores starting in the 2023 holiday season. The new console, which will have a more compact and sleek design, will retain the same technical specifications as the original PlayStation 5.
The new design of the PlayStation 5 is thinner and lighter than the original, with a thickness of just 2.5 centimeters and a weight of 3.9 kilograms. The console will also have a matte finish instead of the glossy finish of the original PlayStation 5.
The technical specifications of the new PlayStation 5 will be the same as those of the original PlayStation 5, with an 8-core AMD Ryzen Zen 2 processor, an AMD RDNA 2 GPU, and 16GB of RAM. The console will also have an 825GB SSD.
The new PlayStation 5 will be available in two models: a standard edition with a 4K Blu-ray drive and a digital edition without a drive. The price of the standard edition will be €499 and the price of the digital edition will be €399.
